On January 18th, a special visit to Avery Middle School brought forth moments of pride and achievement. The Calaveras County Office of Education Superintendent, joined by a representative from the District Attorney's office, honored 7th-grade student Nainoa Chance for clinching the first place in the County Wide Attendance Poster contest.
Nainoa's winning poster, conveying the powerful messages "Be on Time, Every Time" and "Good Attendance Equals Good Grades," earned him not only a first-place certificate but also a $150 check. His remarkable achievement was highlighted at the recent public board meeting where the Governing Board of VUSD acknowledged and celebrated his success.
